Sourcing Saved
My Life.

I spent my career asking questions, comparing options, and managing risk. When I faced testicular cancer three times in three years, those skills became personal.

I speak to business and supply chain audiences about asking better questions and weighing difficult choices, and to healthcare and nonprofit audiences about patient advocacy and the people behind the mission.

The signature presentation

Better questions.
Decisions that matter.

Choosing a treatment center. Seeking another opinion. Weighing unfamiliar options. These were some of the most consequential decisions of my life.

In Sourcing Saved My Life, I connect those experiences with the sourcing principles I knew from work. The talk gives audiences a personal perspective on research, judgment, and speaking up when the stakes are high.

  • 01Ask questions and seek the right expertise.
  • 02Evaluate alternatives and understand the tradeoffs.
  • 03Advocate for yourself and make decisions under uncertainty.

Meet Daniel

A career in sourcing.
A commitment to community.

I bring more than a decade of experience in supply chain and procurement across the automotive and aerospace industries. I served as President of ISM Southeast Michigan from 2023 to 2025 and now serve as Impact Director on the American Cancer Society’s GenNow Detroit board. Facing cancer three times in three years changed how I approach decisions, advocate for myself, and spend my time.

Henry Friedman Art & Legacy

Keeping my Zayde’s
story alive.

My grandfather Henry Friedman survived the Holocaust and went on to create a collection of mixed-metal sculptures. I’m helping preserve his art and share the life behind it, connecting his work with new audiences and opportunities for exhibition.
